OFA Test Polimi
Placement test for Politecnico di Milano students. The OFA (Additional Training Obligation) is a 30-question test to be completed in 15 minutes, required for students who did not reach the minimum English score at enrollment. The test takes place remotely. Results are transmitted electronically to Politecnico di Milano and will be visible on your personal page. Zoom and ETS Secure Browser are not required for this test.
TOEIC Listening & Reading
The TOEIC® Listening & Reading measures English-language listening and reading skills for the workplace. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions divided into two sections: • Listening Section (45 minutes, 100 questions): Photographs, Question-Response, Conversations, and Talks. Respond to recorded English audio. • Reading Section (75 minutes, 100 questions): Incomplete Sentences, Text Completion, and Reading Comprehension. Self-paced responses to written materials. Total duration: approximately 2.5 hours (including 30 minutes for biographical questions). Results are available after 7/10 days, with digital certificate delivery. For Polimi students, the score will be transmitted electronically to the University and visible on your personal page.
TOEIC® 4 Skills Home Edition
The TOEIC® 4 Skills is a comprehensive certification that assesses all four language skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) in a single session. The TOEIC® 4 Skills test is now available from HOME. You will need a laptop or desktop computer with Windows 8 or later, or Mac OS 10.1 or later. Once registration is completed, you will receive an email with all the necessary information to access the test. The official ETS result is issued within 7 days from the exam date.
TOEIC® Listening & Reading Home Edition
The TOEIC® Listening & Reading test now from HOME. It measures English-language listening and reading skills for the workplace. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions divided into two sections: • Listening Section (45 minutes, 100 questions): Photographs, Question-Response, Conversations, and Talks. Respond to recorded English audio. • Reading Section (75 minutes, 100 questions): Incomplete Sentences, Text Completion, and Reading Comprehension. Self-paced responses to written materials. Total duration: approximately 2.5 hours (including 30 minutes for biographical questions). Results are available after 7/10 days, with digital certificate delivery. TOEIC® Speaking & Writing Home Edition
The TOEIC® Speaking & Writing test now from HOME. It measures English-language speaking and writing skills for the workplace. The exam is divided into two tests: • Speaking (approximately 20 minutes, 11 questions, score 0–200): Read aloud, Picture description, Direct questions, Information-based responses, and Opinion statement. • Writing (approximately 60 minutes, 8 questions, score 0–200): Picture-based sentences, Email responses, and Opinion essay (minimum 300 words recommended). A quiet environment is required for the Speaking section audio recording. The official ETS certificate is issued within 12 business days. For Polimi students, the score will be transmitted electronically to the University and visible on your personal page.
OFA Test Polimi
The Politecnico di Milano Additional Educational Requirements (OFA) proficiency test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions (A, B, C, D). The duration of the test is 15 minutes. Each correct answer is worth 1 point, while incorrect answers receive 0 points. The test can be taken from home through Remote Proctoring. The result is available immediately at the end of the test! In order to fulfill the Polimi OFA requirement, the score must be equal to or higher than 25/30. If this score is achieved, the result will be communicated to the Politecnico di Milano administration office. The cost of the test is €29.00.
